The Art of Averting a Meltdown.

Hi There,

For those who couldn’t attend this month’s OfficeHours, boy did you miss a wild ride! For those who did tune in to get a teaser preview of DRIVEN’s new e-book, thank you for sticking with me through all the technical bumps in the road.

Those in attendance:
1.  Participated in an exercise to “prove to themselves” that there is enough time in a week to do what’s important to fulfill both career and life demands with time left over for fun.
 2.  Learned a DRIVEN favorite mindfulness technique.
 3.  Received a beloved DRIVEN tool, designed to make self-care more accessible.

Additionally, participants witnessed an unplanned 10-minute stretch of technical interruption, wherein I actively jumped into mini-crisis mode and made the choice to “respond and not react” to the situation. True, the crisis wasn’t deadly. But which business-related crises truly are? And during the current world predicament, when our technology is our lifeline, my computer issues seemed like life or death. But thanks to the resilience built due to my self-care practices and habits, I was able to navigate the fiasco gracefully, punctuating it with a little sense of humor. The techniques include showing self-compassion when I’m vulnerable or in mid-stumble, figuring out with a growth mindset how I can improve, and being grateful for my resourcefulness (Thanks go out to Ute for sharing the story of Gertrude that resonated with so many attendees; I consider it their fourth takeaway.)

The entire episode is a suitable example of how Intentional Productivity is effective. If my mishap had occurred 2 years ago, I would have had a full-blown meltdown. This time around, I was able to effortlessly steer out of my skid, accompanied by the absolute support and encouragement from our participants. We all have the power to do the same! Join the effort for yourself, today. Acquire DRIVEN’s new e-course Intentional Productivity: 12 Principles to Design a Life of Clarity, Focus and Fulfillment and dive into this self-guided tour.

Cheers!
